The Model of Patience in Hardship
Ayyub was a man blessed with health, a large family, and abundant wealth. God tested him by taking everything away — his fortune, his children, then his health — to reveal the depth of his patience and gratitude.
Struck in his wealth, his loved ones, and his body, Ayyub endured long years of illness and solitude without ever complaining to his Lord or losing faith. Only his wife remained faithful, caring for him.
When the trial reached its end, he gently called upon his Lord. God answered him, directed him to a spring to wash and drink, and healed him. He then restored his family to him, and even more, in reward for his steadfastness.
Ayyub teaches that true faith does not depend on comfort: it reveals itself in hardship, and behind patient trust there always lies a way out through the mercy of God.
